South Dakota High School Rodeo Association SOUTH DAKOTA HIGH SCHOOL RODEO South Dakota is a charter member of the NHSRA, helping to start the organization in 1951.

Welcome to the South Dakota High School Rodeo Association page - home of some of the nation's greatest cowboys and cowgirls. We were one of the states to compete at the first National High School Rodeo Finals. We require our members to conduct themselves in an exemplary manner, to abide by a western dress code while competing, and to maintain their grades at the NHSRA standard in order to

compete. SDHSRA provides an opportunity for our youth to participate in one of the most rewarding sports experiences anywhere.

Directly from the SDHSRA website: โ€œALL STUDENTS MUST PROVIDE A CURRENT REPORT CARD TO THE REGIONAL RODEOS. They will be unable to participate if their report card is not furnished and will be disqualified from competition.

Home-schooled students must have completed the yearโ€™s course work and present a year-end report card, regardless if the program is an ongoing program. A year-end report must be completed.โ€
