Here's what happens when you flip one on. Week one, a handful of regulars scan the QR, log a few 8-ball and 9-ball games, and land somewhere on the TV leaderboard. Nothing dramatic yet. But now there's a standing to move up, and three weeks left to do it. Week two they bring the guy who swears he's better. Week three the middle of the board is a knife fight because everyone can still catch first. Week four, the room's full because the season's about to close and nobody wants to finish where they're sitting.
