I made using my Fath-in-laws shirts for some of the grandkids. He passed away on May 15. This took a bazillion hours. The hours spent were mostly me quietly cutting and sewing as I thought about the memories I had with him. Crafting these gave me a lot of closure. I highly recommend this project as a way to grieve and process loved ones.
