It’s been a while. I’ve been battling a pretty nasty creative block the past few months. I finally sucked it up, lit some candles, pulled some cards, and gave the loom a nice cleaning. Come on creative energy, I’m ready now!

I have a thing for vintage Fire King mugs. This year, I was lucky enough to get two for Christmas / my birthday! My Papa had a set of Fire King mugs in this avocado green colorway, so this one reminds me of him.💚🤎

The first round of dye for this weft didn’t come out quite how I imagined. Decided to overdye the burnt orange section, and I’m glad I did. So much better now!

Here are some of the weft skeins for the next floor loom warp. I’m so curious to see how it will weave up. I’m not very good at planning out dyework, I pretty much just paint the color where I fell like it should go. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Fingers crossed for these!
