Hello Friends! Today is Free Comic Book Day with Special Guest Artists, yes TODAY Saturday 11-5 at our affiliate, “From The Land Beyond’s” co-op store Junkee Clothing Exchange & Antiques in Reno! Located at 960 S. Virginia St. Reno NV 89502. Artist will have a selection of items for sale including comics, original art, prints, and various merchandise. Many will be taking commissions and drawing for fans & signing books. GUESTS INCLUDE: Mark Bode (Cobalt 60, TMNT, Heavy Metal Magazine, Miami Mice), Thomas Yeates (Swamp Thing, Prince Valiant, Groo Vs Conan, Tarzan), Paul Allen (BrAiNs, Planet of the Vampire Woman, Unspeakable Tales), Yojambo aka Jamie Lange (Manga Artist), Megan E. Hey Fans & Friends... FRIDAY NIGHT STUFF... Who would be in if we had a 7:00pm showing of "FRIGHTENERS" Staring Michael J. Fox, (SRCC Guest) Dee Wallace, John Astin and Jake Busey. It would be a FREE showing, No Ticket Needed. Please post here, Like this post and let us know if you would come. I will call Dee up and see if she will come in and do an introduction for us. LOKS LIKE THE "I's" HAve It! We will be showing "Frighteners" at the Sands Reno Comic Con, Friday night at 7:00pm for all the the fans that want to show up... no ticket needed. Hey Fans & Friends... Here is a preveiw look on the print by SRCC Guest Scott Shaw! We will be giving this to the 1st 500 paid attendees (1/2 Sat & 1/2 Sun) for Free. Scott Shaw! is the 1st artist to draw the "Sonic" comic books for Archie Comics. You don't get to see the final art till you get to the show.

Bio:
Holly Payne is a writer, actor, director and producer from San Francisco. She got her start in entertainment at 15 years old doing improv with Bay Area Theatresports in SF. By age 17, she was performing stand up, and has toured internationally in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Her first acting job was as the iconic metallic lips of MTV's Liquid Television in the early 90's. She later attended Emerson College in Boston where she majored in Film & TV production. Since moving to LA, Holly has worked on 'Space Ghost Coast to Coast', 'Nerd Hunter 3004' with Bob Odenkirk, 'The ABC's of Death', and most recently produced the highly acclaimed documentary, "The Death of "Superman Lives", What Happened?' with her partner, Jon Schnepp. Payne and Schnepp are currently in post production on a brand new docu-series about unmade Hollywood films.

Hey board game fans, in addition to the board game library and play to win games we've got a weekend full of organized play and special promos for you!

All events are free to attendees of the Comic Con!

Sign-Ups start onsite the day of the event at opening. There are limited spaces for most of these, so make sure to register early! Each person may register for one event before returning to the end of the line to register for additional events.

Saturday

10:30 - Clank! Tournament - Free promo card for each player, winner received the golden dragon and 2017 champion card. (1-3 rounds depending on number of players, Limited to 16 players)

12:00 - Smash-Up All Stars - Free All-Stars expansion for each player, winner receives fancy wooden tokens and an embroidered bag! (Limited to 8 players)

2:00 - Vs. Tournament #1 (Daredevil playmat/Winter Soldier promo) - Free Promo card for all players, special foil promos for top players. Playmat and Winter Soldier promo for the winner. (Limited to 16 players)

4:00 - Mystic Vale Spirits of the Vale - Free promo card expansion for each player. Complete achievements over a few games and you'll be awarded with fancy wooden tokens. (Limited to 8 players)

6:00 - Vs. Tournament #2 (Dr. Strange playmat/Star-Lord promo) - Free Promo card for all players, special foil promos for top players. Playmat and Star-Lord promo for the winner. (Limited to 16 players)

Sunday

12:00 Heroclix Sidekick Night - Team play where experienced players are paired with new players and they split the turns. Each team will receive a free 300 point Avengers starter pack. This leads into future Sidekick nights at the Comic Kingdom! (Limited to 6 teams of two players)

2:00 - Marvel Legendary - Free promo card for all players, foil promos for the top players, and a fancy Loki for the winner! (Limited to 16 players)
