As most, if not all, of my friends know, I have closed my studio. have held some weekend sales which saw my flooring, marley, mirrors, and barres get new life at other studios. I am thrilled that the happy, creative energy that graced all those things is continuing in other dance studios! YAY! 👏

Additionally, so much whimsical art, novelty decor, and little inspiration accents have found new homes near and far - knowing they are bringing more smiles beyond the studio brings me joy and happiness. And that much of my Mom's colorful, quirky, imaginative art has spread out into the world warms my heart beyond measure.

Now, on to new business: I am ready to liquidate what is left. Does anyone have an estate sale or liquidation experience with a company they recommend?

Please let me know. I believe in word-of-mouth references.
And heartfelt thanks to the thousands of families that made Kia's FR Dance the long-running (31 years) success it has been, as well as to those that brought a piece of the studio home (or to work) to keep its good vibes going.

We've shut our doors and now the studio's flooring, in very good condition, needs a new home or project. Come snag sheathing plywood panels, hardwood birch panels, floating floor panels, and large studio mirrors at great savings!

Perfect for builders, DIY champs, home renovators, or anyone looking for a good deal in the wood department.

Panels are 8 x 4, with smaller cuts available. Birch panels have lacquer on one side; quick sanding would do the trick to have both sides equally pristine. All panels were protected by custom rubber feet or marley.

Bay door access to everything for easy pick up.

Sheathing plywood - $15.00 (Home Depot - $25.00)

Birch panels - $60.00 (Home Depot - $90.58)

Floating panels - $40.00 (were $50.00)

Kia’s FR Dance has taken its final bow and is preparing the space for a new business.

As we get ready for its next adventure, we’re selling whimsical fine art, fun décor, office supplies, furniture, and more! Every purchase you make not only gives you a great deal, it also helps us renovate the building for its next chapter.

We also have 8 x 4 plywood sheathing and hardwood birch panels for sale. Both have been protected from wear by rubber pads on the bottom and marley on top.

Think of it as a treasure hunt with a purpose – you get to take home something unique, and together we breathe new life into our old home.

Come shop, laugh, save, and help us send the studio off with gratitude, happiness, and lots of love.

This weekend is FR Dance’s first art and business closing sale. Here is a sneak peek at what is available to buy. So much whimsical and fun art, along with thought-provoking pieces. And lots of just plain uplifting stuff. Smiles guaranteed. Good feelings predicted.

Assorted office supplies and office furnishings.

Also lots of pristine plywood and cabinet-grade wood (8 x 4 sheets and smaller sizes).

Extra-large mirrors are yours for the taking - meaning if you can get it off the walls, you can have it!

Did you already place "dibs" on something? Text me and I will set it aside for you. Please try to pick up anything this weekend.

Well, now it truly IS a wrap! We are hosting an open house finale next Saturday, June 28th, from 1:00-5:00, at FR Dance. In addition to what is mentioned in the invite, there will be an 'I remember when/I'll never forget' sign-in book to memorialize FR Dance moments to share with Miss Kia.

Here is some video of rehearsals preparing for FR Dance's final shows last night. From finale to Someone Special to adult tap (with swing dancer Alyssa filling in last minute for Katelyn) to hip hop to contemporary. There were 30 numbers in each show, so these are merely thumbnails of the actual end product.

As we count down to "That's a Wrap, Folks" (5 days to go), two of FR Dance's teachers (small to tall) model our last, final, no-more-to-be-made recital t-shirts.

I have to say, hands down, this t-shirt was the most fun one to design. Even the girl at the shop who made them took pictures of them before packing them into my car. She told me, "Haha, your shirts are always so cute, but this year they are the BEST."

Kia is Lola Bunny, Lola Bunny is Kia.

Disney's description of Lola: "She is portrayed as an eccentric, scatterbrained, endearing, and cheerful young rabbit. She oftentimes tends to forget what she was doing. (!) Lola is mostly involved in bizarre situations, either created by herself or when accompanied by her friend Daffy."

Okay, the "young" part has come and gone, and many names can fill in for Daffy. But our shared exuberance and zest for life are similar. And especially, the bizarre situations; they do seem to find me.
