July temps in the Midwest have been brutal, which has brought out my lethargic (OK, grumpy) side as I trudge around on errands. Wisely, my mom decided to beat the heat by directing energy to projects in her quilt studio. Her younger cat, Sallie, decided that was a good plan and found herself a nice spot to chill. As cats do. Since she usually has to work around Sallie’s curiosity (swipe), Mom didn’t discourage her nap among the fat quarters while she worked. I, on the other hand, have accomplished basically nothing but some creative complaining.
