🐟✨ BY POPULAR DEMAND: Hand-Built Ceramic Fish Wind Chime Class! ✨🎨
Due to how much fun we had last time, I am hosting another Adults-Only Hand-Built Fish Wind Chime Workshop on Thursday, September 3rd, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM!
🚨 ONLY 4 SPOTS LEFT! 🚨
Space is strictly limited to keep the class small and personal, so claim your seat early!
In this workshop, you’ll use the classic pinch pot technique to shape, sculpt, and texture your very own whimsical earthenware fish wind chime. It’s a wonderful, relaxing creative night out for adults of all skill levels—no prior clay experience needed!
💵 Cost: $60 total for TWO classes (All materials & firings included!)
Class 1 (Thursday, Sept 3, 5:30–7:30 PM): Sculpt and build your custom fish wind chime using the pinch pot method.
Class 2 (Flexible!): Once your piece has dried and been bisque fired, you can return anytime during normal studio hours at your convenience to glaze it!

✨ BEHIND THE SCENES & STUDIO NEWS:
🎃 Halloween is Coming: I spent my break casting most of our Halloween molds plus lots of other exciting designs—they are drying now!
📦 Pickup Ready: Most pieces glazed last week are fired and ready to go home. The last few from Saturday will be ready later this week!
🏺 Shelves are Packed: A fresh batch of hand-cast bisque from two weeks ago is out of the kiln, PLUS a brand-new shipment of bisque just arrived and is going on the shelves today!
Whether you want to unwind with some solo art therapy, plan a fun family outing, or meet up with friends, painting pottery is the ultimate relaxing experience for all ages.

We had an absolute blast at our hand-built fish wind chime class! Every single fish turned out with its own adorable, one-of-a-kind personality—I am completely in love with how creative everyone got! The next step for this group will be a second class for glazing after they dry and get their first kiln firing.
📸 (Confession time: I had my video camera all set up to capture the whole class in action... and completely forgot to press record! 🤦‍♀️ Technology 1, Barbara 0! But thankfully, I did snap a few still photos so you can see these cute fish!)

Here’s what’s happening around the studio today:
Fish Wind Chime Pottery Class: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM. We are getting our hands messy and hand-building some fun clay wind chimes!
Ceramic Walk-Ins: You are always welcome to drop in and paint. Just a quick heads-up: during class time (5:30–7:30), my hands will be full of wet clay, so walk-in painters will be in "free-range artist" mode! If you’re happy working your independent magic, the paint and pottery are ready for you.

There is truly nothing quite like walking into the studio, picking out a piece, and getting lost in color. Painting pottery is such a fun, peaceful form of art therapy for all ages—from little ones finding their creativity to adults just needing a relaxing break from a busy week!

📦 A Gentle Reminder About Older & In-Progress Pieces:
Our shelves are currently overflowing! We have many pieces—both finished and unfinished work-in-progress—that have been sitting in the studio for quite a long time. Over time, dust settles on unfired glaze (which causes issues when fired later) and pieces risk getting handled or damaged.
If you have a piece waiting here, please stop by to pick it up! You are always welcome to take unfinished pieces home and bring them back whenever you're ready to paint again. We need to clear shelf space so we can keep making room for brand-new, exciting pieces for everyone to enjoy!

Start of a brand-new week here at Valdosta Studio Imagination! 🎉 We ended last week with an absolute full house on Saturday, and we are open today until 7:00 PM!
🗓️ Quick Note for Thursday (5:30 PM – 7:30 PM):
I'll be teaching a hand-built pottery class during these evening hours. Walk-in ceramic painters are still welcome to come in and paint, but it will be a relaxed, self-guided open studio format while I’m instructing the workshop!
🔥 KILN & BISQUE UPDATES:
Pottery from early last week is fired and ready for pickup! Another load comes out tomorrow.
Freshly fired, hand-cast bisque pieces are newly stocked on the shelves today!
Lots of newly cast molds from this weekend are currently drying and will be ready to paint in about two weeks.
Ceramic painting is one of the most relaxing, therapeutic things you can do for yourself. Bring your friends, bring the family, or just come by yourself to unplug and create! 🎨✨
