The Battle Creek Players kicked off The Addams Family Musical: Young@Part with an absolutely incredible Understudy Night—and WOW, did they deliver!

Tonight’s cast took the stage with confidence, energy, and talent that truly set the tone for the entire weekend. We could not be more proud of these students for stepping into these roles and opening with a bang 💥

🎭💙 Battle Creek Players Making an Impact at Teen Maze! 💙🎭

Tonight, select members of the Battle Creek Players had the opportunity to participate in Teen Maze for Community Night—and what an incredibly powerful experience it was!

Teen Maze is an interactive, real-life simulation designed to help middle school students understand the real consequences of risky behaviors such as underage drinking, drug use, distracted driving, and unhealthy relationships. Through a series of dramatic, immersive scenes, students walk through a storyline that shows how one decision can quickly lead to life-altering outcomes.

Our talented students brought these scenes to life with honesty, intensity, and purpose—using their voices and acting skills not just to perform, but to educate, impact, and potentially save lives. ❤️

We are so proud of the way they represented Tattnall County High School—with professionalism, compassion, and a commitment to making a difference in our community.

👏 Thank you to everyone who helped organize this meaningful event and to our students who gave their all tonight. This is theatre with a purpose—and it matters.

Tattnall County High School is excited to announce our upcoming Spring Talent Showcase, an evening dedicated to celebrating the many talents within our school community.

Students, faculty, and staff are invited to audition and share their talents—whether through music, dance, spoken word, cultural performances, instrumental performance, or other creative expressions.

🎉 Congratulations to the Tattnall County High School Literary Team! 🎉

We are incredibly proud of our talented students who competed at the GHSA Literary Region AA Competition and represented TCHS with excellence, confidence, and professionalism.

🏆 STATE QUALIFIERS – 1st Place
• 🎭 Humorous Interpretation: Lexi Smith (with an interpretation of Flannery O’Connor’s “Good Country People”)
• ✍️ Rhetorical Essay: Christionia Alvez
• 🎤 Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking: Chaniya Williams

🥈 2nd Place Regional Finishers
• ✍️ Personal Essay: Olivia Woods
• 🎭 Duo Dramatic Interpretation: Yoel Flores & Jazzy Heuett (with their emotional interpretation of Stephen King’s first novel “The Long Walk”)

These students demonstrated outstanding preparation, creativity, and performance skills while competing against some of the best students in the region.

We are especially proud to have three events advancing to the GHSA State Literary Competition!

Merry Christmas Eve, Battle Creek Players!

As we head into this special night, I just want you to know how incredibly proud I am of each and every one of you. This year has been filled with creativity, growth, laughter, hard work, and unforgettable moments—and that’s because of you.

Theatre is more than rehearsals and performances. It’s family. It’s belonging. It’s showing up for one another, even when it’s hard. And you do that beautifully.
I hope tonight is filled with peace, rest, joy, and time with the people you love. Thank you for being such a bright light in our school and in my life.

We are so proud of today’s performance of Santa’s Little Reindeer by Mrs. Hutcheson's Fundamental of Theatre class in collaboration with Mrs. Adam's Pre-K class! 🎄✨

A huge shoutout to Lexi Smith and Christionia Alvez, student co-directors who have also completed their Early Childhood Education pathway. They did an amazing job guiding our Pre-K students through their stage debut, making it a special performance for families and a magical moment for our youngest performers. ❤️🎭

Theatre and performing arts benefit learners of all ages—building confidence, communication skills, creativity, teamwork, and empathy. From our Pre-K students learning to express themselves to our high school leaders developing responsibility and leadership, today’s performance showed just how powerful the arts can be in shaping well-rounded individuals. 🌟

Today, Mrs. Hutcheson’s Fundamentals of Theatre I-IV class performed “Santa’s Little Reindeer” in conjunction with the TCHS Pre-K class. These young performers did an outstanding job bringing holiday cheer during the FCCLA-sponsored Pre-K Christmas event lunch at TCHS. Featured are Christionia Alvez as Little Reindeer and Bradley Firely as Santa.
