Shodeo is still HOPEFULLY ON for Friday! We got a little over .5” Wednesday night into Thursday, so it was too muddy to work up today. But we have hopes it will dry out enough tomorrow during the day, (As long as we stay dry!)

Thanks for the great turnout last night and for being patient as we worked through first Shodeo troubleshooting 🥴🤩.

Here are the time sheets from last night and the points awarded. However many riders sign up for an event will determine how many points that event is worth. Each rider will get a decreasing number of points down to 1 for “no time” or last place. (This way every rider who enters an event will get awarded points!) the more riders in an event, the more points you will get for winning! (I wrote in the points you were awarded in pink on the time sheets).

I’ll tabulate the running total for points accumulated and share that info in another post each month. (Bear with me because I just make up my own way to do Excel lol.... so hopefully I can keep my tabulations correct and the spreadsheets readable!)

We will do our best to keep track of “no time” or penalty rides, but we may not be perfect. This is a “for fun Shodeo” : not a sanctioned rodeo. So while we ARE adding prizes this year, we hope our riders and families will keep the FUN in mind and give each other grace as we all do our best to keep things fair and fun!

We will award for every event in every age division:

1st Place: buckle,
2nd Place: blanket and a cup,
3rd Place: Feed bucket of supplies

Depending on how our budget allows, we hope to be able to also do gift cards for one or two more places as well!

Still looking good for Shodeo tonight! See you at 5:30pm to sign up for events, we will start at 6pm. We will grill hamburger & hotdogs, and offer chips and drinks. I also see some ice cream sandwiches and candy bars to add to the menu! ❤️
