Awa Pikine is a professional dancer from Senegal and a former principal member of both the National Ballet of Senegal and Waato Sita — two of the country’s most celebrated dance companies. Now based in Los Angeles, she teaches regularly and tours across the U.S., sharing the power and beauty of West African dance with students nationwide.
Mar Gueye was born in Tivaoune, Senegal, into the respected N’guewel musical lineage of the Wolof people. He has performed with major Senegalese artists including Youssou N’Dour, Tambour Bombo, and Roots Talibe, as well as internationally renowned musicians such as the Rolling Stones and Ziggy Marley. His playing brings deep tradition, explosive energy, and masterful technique.
