My name is John Avilla, and I’m just a guy who has loved making music with friends my whole life, beginning as an 8-year-old singing in the family band. As luck would have it my older brothers had a knack for teaching themselves and the rest of us how to play. There were enough of us to give the Partridge Family a run for its money. Giving young musicians a stage to share their voices! Sound Union had the opportunity to host the Sequoia music department for a day of live music, creativity, and community.
