Sound Union Sound Union is a place where musicians and sound makers share, collaborate, meet, and make music. I was hooked. Would you join us?

My name is John Avilla, and I’m just a guy who has loved making music with friends my whole life, beginning as an 8-year-old singing in the family band. As luck would have it my older brothers had a knack for teaching themselves and the rest of us how to play. There were enough of us to give the Partridge Family a run for its money. Good fortune continued with a formal music education from nationally recognized instructors in middle and high school. 35 years later, I still love making music, singing, and playing bass in cover bands. I’ve built Sound Union to be a place where musicians and sound makers share, collaborate, meet, and perform.

What if your office was 50 feet from a professional recording studio?

At Sound Union, that's not a hypothetical. We're a Creative Ecosystem in Redwood City — the only coworking space on the Peninsula where your desk sits 50 feet from a professional recording studio, a podcast room, and a full community of working musicians and creators.

Some of our members come for the focus. Some come for the energy. Most stay because they've never worked somewhere that actually inspires them.

"A space that inspires you to do the best work of your life is what I've always been looking for to build my next startup." — Guy Nirpaz, Founder, Perspective

Day passes from $50. Monthly memberships from $375. No meeting room overages. No hidden fees.

The loneliness of working from home is real. You're productive, sure — but you miss the energy of people around you, the random conversation that sparks a new idea, the feeling of being somewhere that actually inspires you.

Sound Union isn't your typical coworking space. It's a Creative Ecosystem in Redwood City where founders, freelancers, and remote professionals work alongside musicians, podcasters, and creators. The vibe is unlike anything else on the Peninsula.

No hidden fees. No meeting room overages. Podcast studio, collaboration lounge, and recording studios — all included. Starting at $50/day or $375/month.

94% of our members renew year over year. That says more than any review.

There’s a country club for avid musicians in Redwood City.
A wall of guitars and basses is just one of the perks our members love. No need to lug around your axe and amp. Take your pick, plug it in and jam.
