Dance 1 Redondo Beach Welcome to Dance 1, home to Dance 1 Performing Company and Redondo Ballet. Come and dance with us.. This results in less injuries and a longer ability to dance.

Dance 1 is an inviting and family-friendly studio dedicated to providing solid dance skills, while encouraging a love of dance. Our state-of-the-art location has 5 studios with floating floors, a student lounge and homework room, an in-studio dance wear boutique, and a parent waiting area where all studios can be observed on closed circuit TV. We have a beautiful open studio with lots of room to m

ove on a floating wood floor, suspended upon hundreds and hundreds of foam blocks to take the impact of jumping. Our Russian birch is of the highest quality that will allow both safety on pointe and will withstand tap.

Our annual Company Picnic is one of our favorite ways to kick off a new season.

Before rehearsals, competitions, and performances begin, we make time to simply be together. Our dancers get to build friendships and connections that carry onto the stage, while our families connect and build their own support system.

Because a strong company is more than what happens in the studio. It’s the people who show up for each other, cheer each other on, and grow together all season long.

Here’s to another season of dancing, growing, and supporting each other. 🤍

Every second Monday of the month, you can find Dance 1 at the North Redondo Beach Library for Reading, Music & Movement!

This month, a few of our dancers joined us to introduce the children in our community to tap dance. We had so much fun sharing a little rhythm, movement, and dance with our youngest community members!

We love getting to bring dance beyond the studio and into our community.

Kingsley, Josie and Nanako received their awards from the ISTD International Heats Competition, celebrating their accomplishments in this year’s competition.

A special congratulations to Kingsley, who won the Global Advanced 1 & 2 Division and earned a 2-hour private lesson with Royal Ballet dancer Sarah Kundi as his prize!

Wrapping up another great ISTD Intensive!
Over the last two weeks, our Grade 2, 3, and 4 dancers have been refining their technique, building confidence, and preparing for their upcoming ISTD exams. We are so proud of the progress they’ve made and look forward to seeing them take the next step in their ISTD journey.
