Eastside Stomp is the name for a collective of swing dance teachers and enthusiasts based on the Eastside of the Greater Seattle area. We are dedicated to teaching, performing, preserving, evolving and promoting the many vintage-based forms of swing dance, as well as the music and style of the Swing Era. We believe strongly in social dancing as the basis and reason for everything we teach in our l

essons. For the staff of Eastside Stomp, swing dancing is about more than flashy moves and steps (although we certainly teach those…), but rather about good connection, great lead and follow skills, and above all else, having ridiculous amounts of fun. We offer monthly series classes in Lindy Hop, Balboa, Charleston, and Solo Jazz dance, host weekly dances featuring live swing music, travel to teach swing workshops, and give private lessons. Hi friends, long time no post! I'm finally teaching regular classes in Seattle again - this time on Capitol Hill at Reverie Ballroom! I'd love to see some of y'all either in class or at the Sunday or Wednesday social dances! I'm teaching all of the Wednesday swing classes and the performance teams, as well as a one-off Shim Sham workshop coming up. Let me know if you have any questions and I hope to see you all soon!

This Saturday: Fremont Stomp featuring Jonathan Doyle!!
Swing Dance SCT, in partnership with Eastside Stomp, is bringing back the LIVE MUSIC edition of our Saturday swing dance party!
We'll have live music, a SWITCH Mix & Match Lindy Hop contest*, and more!

COVID Policy:
1. Proof of vaccination is required. We do not require proof of booster.
2. Masks are optional.

8PM - Band starts
8:45PM Contest Prelims
10:15PM Contest Finals

*Switch Mix & Match Lindy Hop contest is free to enter and open to all. Dancers enter individually and are randomly paired with partners.

During all dances, in prelims and finals you will be required to switch roles with your partner multiple times. Other than that, this contest will look like a regular J&J, with multiple partners in prelims, and one partner in finals.

Prelims will be held during the first band break. Finals will be at the top of the last set with live music.
