Sweety Saradha Arts To bring the joy of creativity into peoples lives.​ Sweety Saradha is an avid member of Greater Seattle area community and an inspiration for many.

She is a business owner, an artist, an educator and an agent for public service. She is a certified Bob Rosses instructor and the founder of Sweety Saradha Arts. She specializes in portraits, landscapes, still-life, photorealistic, wildlife, floral, and abstract art forms. She loves colors and the happiness it brings to everyone’s life. She also loves working in the Indian art forms like Rajasthan

i and Tanjore Paintings. She teaches watercolor, acrylic, oils, brush pens, alcohol ink marker, color pencils, oil pastels, charcoal, resin, chalk pastels, etc. She is a well-known art educator in the Greater Seattle Area and has taught over 20,000 students. She pushes each student’s creativity and encourages exploration within themselves and their art. She constantly reminds her students that “nothing is impossible.” Not only has she won several National and International Art contest such as Contemporary Art Gallery, Light Space & Time, Whitney Art LLC Art Contest, Singular Creations, International Kalaratnam Foundation of Art Society, Creative Hands Art Studio, etc but her students have also become exceptional and have won several National and International awards themselves and their artwork have been exhibited in art galleries. In addition to being an educator Sweety Saradha aims to provide every child an outlet for expression through art. She seeks to create a global platform that is easily accessible and encourages creativity. To pursue this she started the Expressions Art program. www.expressions-arts.com

‼️Meet Preetha Anandh, a Taal Classical Advisor and Choreographer!

Preetha Anandh, founder and artistic director of KalaAlaya School of Dance, brings more than thirty years of experience as a teacher, performer, and mentor. She began her training in Bharatanatyam under the esteemed Kalaimamani Smt. Parvathi Ravi Ghantasala, a distinguished exponent of the Pandanallur style known for her precision, grace, and deep commitment to classical tradition. Under her guru’s tutelage, Preetha developed a strong foundation in technique, aesthetics, and the expressive nuances of the art form.

To further expand her artistic range, Preetha undertook advanced training in the Kalakshetra bani under the renowned Sri Renjith Babu, senior disciple of Prof. C.V. Chandrasekhar—one of Bharatanatyam’s most respected stalwarts. This phase of training deepened her understanding of choreography, rhythm, and stagecraft, enabling her to blend classical rigor with thoughtful creativity.

Throughout her career, Preetha has performed extensively across India, the United States, and Canada, both independently and alongside her gurus. Her performances are celebrated for their clarity of movement, emotional depth, and steadfast respect for tradition.

🎨 BEYOND THE CANVAS: ART COMPETITION 🎨
Theme: Beneath the Surface

What are the little moments, habits, memories, and experiences that quietly shape who we become?

Beyond the Canvas, in collaboration with Expressions Arts, invites artists to explore Beneath the Surface and create an original piece inspired by the meaningful details of everyday life. ✨

🖌️ All mediums welcome (except digital)
👩‍🎨 Age Groups: 9–12 | 13–17 | 18+
📝 Include a 100–200 word artist statement connecting your artwork to the theme
🎨 Maximum 3 entries per participant

🏆 Selected artists receive:
• Awards / Certificate
• Artwork showcased at our live exhibition at Sammamish Library

📅 Important Dates
Online Submission Deadline: September 13, 2026 at 11:59 PM
Artwork Drop-Off: September 19, 9:30–11:00 AM

Exhibition & Results: September 26 at Sammamish Library

Selected participants will be responsible for dropping off and picking up their artwork.
