"A Heartfelt Reminder of the Power of Art & Acceptance" 🎭❤️

The reviews are in for A Man of No Importance, and critics are calling it a production that "understands exactly where its strength lies—in its heart and intimacy."

Our intimate Redmond space has been transformed into 1964 Dublin to tell the deeply personal story of Alfie Byrne, a bus conductor chasing his theatrical dreams while navigating identity, love, and the power of community.

What the critics are saying:
✨ Frank Kohel (Alfie): "Delivers a performance built on vulnerability, restraint, and sincerity... giving Alfie an almost disarming warmth and optimism."
✨ Carrie Sleeper-Bowers (Lily): "An emotional anchor of the production... capturing the complicated mix of affection, responsibility, and unconditional love."
✨ Eilish Rhoades (Adele): Brings "an emotional sincerity... that makes her relationship with Alfie genuinely touching," featuring vocals that are "superb."
✨ The Ensemble: "Authentic... the chemistry among the group allows the St. Imelda’s Players to feel like an authentic neighborhood theatre troupe."

"In a world where people are still too often made to feel invisible or ashamed for simply being themselves, this musical remains remarkably relevant."

Don't miss this beautiful, emotional journey.

Featuring Frank Kohel as Alfie
From the acclaimed creators of Ragtime, "A Man of No Importance" is a charming and poignant musical about Alfie Byrne, a bus conductor in 1964 Dublin who lives for poetry, particularly that of Oscar Wilde, and secretly stages amateur theatricals with his local church group. As he attempts to put on Wilde's Salomé, Alfie's quiet life is stirred by the arrival of a beautiful new passenger and the challenges of his own unspoken desires. This beautiful musical is a tender celebration of art, self-acceptance, and the courage to live authentically, even when it feels like you're a man of no importance.
