Fifteen feet of oil on canvas—and yet it doesn’t even fully convey the clarity and strength of vision and action I’ve found.
For a few years, this monumental piece has been my core, my baseline, and a piece of my absolute heart. But that baseline has been shattered in a deeply beautiful way that allows for no compromise.
For a long time, I truly believed this painting was my peak.
I am so happily incorrect.
This is an open announcement of intent to the Universe. My creative vision is actively expanding and evolving. My future is deeply bold. The horizon ahead is wide, and I am stepping forward to paint it.

Potential, kinetic, universal, emotional- paint holds and transmits all the energies. This is a piece I’m building using oil paint, cold wax medium that I have started making myself, plaster of paris and physicality on a piece of reclaimed architectural wood.

I use cold wax in my non-objective work . It isn’t quite that the medium is the message- it’s that I love the archeology and weight of the wax and what I can make it say and do.
The two current branches of my work really are of the same tree - fed and watered by my need to excavate, discover and evaluate what it is to be.

A few days ago I shared this painting after revisiting it.
I made changes. The difference was seeing what mattered and pushing it all the way through.

This piece is available to the right collector.

I’m taking on a small number of 1:1 sessions for people who are close to something and want to push it further.

Message me.

This painting needed a moment to come into its own.
Revisiting it brought the presence into strength.
Its voice is now unmistakable.

Most painting problems aren’t about skill.

They’re about structure.

Things get overworked.
Too much is happening.
Nothing quite resolves.

At that point, it’s not about doing more-it’s about clear sight and simplifying.

That’s where I tend to step in.

I’m opening a small number of private sessions on how I see a painting- what matters, what doesn’t and how to get it to hold.

If you’ve been feeling stuck or can’t put your finger on what’s missing, this is exactly where I work.

DM me if interested.

Clouds, but not just clouds.
Atmosphere, reflection, and moments where something more symbolic begins to emerge—figures, forms, a sense of presence.
These works move between observation and interpretation:
sky, reflection, memory, and constructed space.
In celebration of Spring and that sense of everything lifting.
A small group of works are available now.
DM for details.

From a while back “Refusal of the Call”, part of the string of paintings I made based on Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey.
When I finish a painting, it is no longer mine- it belongs to the all that is until someone claims it. I like this arrangement. So I was surprised to feel how much missed this painting. Happily she is in good hands.
FYP I included process shots- including the original pencil sketch which I still have and am particularly fond of.
