People often ask: “what can I work on at home?”

The answer is simple: flexibility and control.
Flexibility is a choice that takes time.
It’s the result of a dancer who practices diligently at home.

Many dancers in this video started in Princess class or ballet 1 without the splits.

If your child struggles with flexibility, set a 15-minute daily timer for splits stretches.
Just like a baseball and basketball athletes practice drills at home, dancers must rehearse at home.

The progress of a young dancer requires three key players:
1. Instructor
2. Dancer
3. Parent/sponsor
