Can you imagine celebrating turning 100 years old?
What about celebrating 50 years of marriage?!

It was a busy weekend for us!

On Thursday, we buried Katie’s grandmother who turned 100 years old in March and on Saturday, we honored Katie’s parents for 50 years of marriage.

What an accomplishment!

Our team was honored to drive to central California to handle all of the decor for such a monumental event!

And…on top of decorating for the event, Katie also made her Smack Salad for 275 guests as well.

There is no rest in the event business.

We don’t understand all of the insane charges that brides & grooms incur when booking their wedding venue!

I own a wedding venue, and I’ve watched a LOT of weddings.

Not the custom cocktail napkins.
Not the favors half of them forgot on the table.
Not whether every tiny detail matched your Pinterest board.

They remember THIS. 👆

A packed dance floor.
Good food.
Drinks flowing.
Music they actually want to dance to.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with beautiful details — I love them too. But if you’re trying to decide where to put your wedding budget, spend it on the things that create the experience, not just the things that photograph well.
