Free history exhibit alert. 📚

To celebrate the nation's 250th anniversary, the Arrowhead Valley Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Smiley Library are excited to bring "The American Revolution Experience" to Redlands. This special national traveling exhibit opens August 28 in the Assembly Room and runs through September 15, 2026.

This innovative pop-up exhibition includes 12 display panels and 3 interactive digital kiosks that use storytelling, illustration, technology, and firsthand accounts to connect visitors with the people and places that shaped the birth of our nation. The kiosks provide access to full digital biographies, historical context on the Revolutionary War, and information about visiting sites connected to these individuals today.

The exhibit was created through a collaboration between the American Battlefield Trust and the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, made possible through generous matching funds from the National Park Service.

Admission is free and visitors of all ages are welcome.

Sunday: 1–5pm

This weekend give that broken lamp deserves a second chance. 💡
Bring your busted bikes, torn shirts, wonky toasters, and stopped clocks to the free Repair Café on Saturday, July 25 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Flores Senior Center (111 W. Lugonia Ave.).
Skilled volunteer fixers will repair your items at no charge. Every fix means one less thing in the landfill and a little more money in your pocket.
Hosted by ANCA Redlands and sponsored by Ace Hardware. Pre-register at the link in bio to pick a drop-off time (9, 10, or 11 a.m.). Walk-ins welcome until 11 a.m. as space allows. While fixer volunteers are happy to look at your item, no repairs are guaranteed.

The early bird gets the strawberries. 🍓 New hours at the Downtown Morning Market: every Saturday, 7 to 11 a.m. at Redlands Blvd. and 5th Street. Come for the produce, stay for the breakfast, leave with something handmade.

07/15/2026

Accelerate Neighborhood Climate Action (ANCA) is looking for volunteers to support the Repair Café. Volunteers use their skills to help patrons fix the items they bring in.

Typical Repair Café items include bikes, small appliances, jewelry, watches, small electronics, toys, clothing, and more. Patrons are responsible for bringing in any replacement parts that their item may need. Repair Café “fixer” volunteers are asked to bring their own tools to support their unique skills. All “fixer” specialties are welcome. We never know what is going to come through the door!

Help us put the “repair” in Repair Café and join our friendly volunteer team. Volunteers are also needed for event organization and logistics. Contact Dick Corneille for more information at, [email protected] or 909-801-4885.
