As Q3 comes to an end, the mass amounts of artwork turned in is crazy. Here’s the contents of the kiln I unloaded today. Work completion and quality work are things that I feel strongly about. If your kids thought I was a bear this week, I’m sorry. Having a quarter end on the Friday the 13th before spring break, and the first official week of track, brings out the best in everyone. That being said, can you believe we only have 9 weeks left?!

Several of our students have earned recognition for their artistic achievements, with their work being accepted into the Youth Art Month (YAM) show at Jordan Creek Mall. We utilized the snow day to attend the exhibit. The display will continue through March, concluding with an awards ceremony on March 29th. The exhibit is on the upper level, right next to Von Maur, H&M and the Finish Line.

Last weekend I took Art to get judged for Youth Art Month and the Govenors show. We didn’t get anything in the govenors show, but we got 5 things into the YAM show. The artworks will be on display at Jordan Creek Mall in March. I can’t wait to see what else got in, I’m always looking for new things to teach! 🙂. This is my first time entering this show, but I believe the next steps are that they judged again at the YAM show and aware may be given at the ceremony at the end of March. Congratulation Hadley, Ryan, Lorelei, Paige, and Mila. 🎨
