We love seeing filmmakers use the landscapes, communities, and character of our region to help bring their stories to life.

Every project filmed here helps showcase the creative potential of Northern California and reminds us that meaningful, memorable films can be made close to home.

The future of filmmaking is bright 🎬

One of the most memorable moments from this year’s Sundial Film Festival was watching young filmmakers share their work on the big screen.

This student-led project brought together collaborators from France and featured voice work from legendary actors, showing just how far bold ideas can go when young creatives are given the space to create.

We love seeing the next generation of storytellers take risks, collaborate across borders, and bring their ideas to life through film.

Here’s to dreaming big, creating fearlessly, and making movies.

We are so thankful for everything that Sabrina Jurisich has and is doing for the film community here in Shasta County and beyond. Film Shasta has been built by her hard work and commitment to the productions here in the North State. Sabrina, thank you for everything!!

The Sundial Film Festival is also excited that our own board member and co-director Tyler Lockamy will be working with Film Shasta as a Film Liason and continuing on the organization that Sabrina built to continue supporting productions in our area.
