The ASMR edition (no music). Because sometimes we all need to tune out the excess noise in our heads and focus on the immediate sounds of life around us. Attune to what is. Let the sounds be as Heidegger describes the hammer, one does not focus on the hammer, one focuses on the workpiece and strikes with the hammer as though it is an extension of their physical being : Dasein .
And because I can’t monetize the video when Audioslave is showing me how to live in the background šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø. So here in all its original glory as our minds were intended to process sound… I present to you another video of a railroad spike being forged into something arguably more useful. Thank you for your time . Scroll two back for the Audioslave version as well šŸ¤˜šŸ»

Valar Morghulis. Valar Dohaeris. 🫔

In all honesty after looking further into this phrase and rewatching the clips it was used in, I felt compelled to include a bit more than the usual ā€œthanks for the support! I appreciate your order!ā€ written on the inside of the packaging. I do appreciate all the orders I get. It’s when I look further into the custom requests that sometimes they can land pretty heavy in the depths of the moment. Anyways; heres a lesser frequented version as well : Valar Jorrāelias : All Men Must Love/ Live.

Hope everyone is doing alright out there! Stay safe I love you all.

What’s good for the bottle is good for the can. That is a recycling phrase that has been embedded in my mind and apparently it’s of the Mandela effect because I can not find it as a real recycling quote when researching it. I did however find an abundance of other great quotes and phrases waiting to be recycled, one of my favorite might be ā€œrecycle material, not ideas.ā€ In the world of digital material, it is ever more common to see individuals doing just that. Here’s a drawn out look at my recycling grind as I continue to uphold these values in a physical state as well as the digital environment. And if you have some things you need to uphold as well, these and a variety of other hook designs are available now from Menard Metal Craft for all your supportive needs.

It can happen just like that. As confident as you may feel using the tool, one wrong move and it can happen to the best of us. In this scenario thankfully a depressed-center cut-off wheel was used. The depressed center greatly increases the strength of the wheel, allowing the wheel to typically remain in tact at the center in the event of accidental mis-use. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.

Hello Dude, thanks for coming; I’m Jackie Treehorn. Or that’s what plays through my mind when I flip these spikes in slow motion.
I’m Trent Menard, and many things make me think of many other things, such as the scene referenced above. The original image generator (your mind) is a fascinating place to spend some time in. While modern image generators might make it easier to share these internal visions there’s still something I find more fulfilling about going into the back yard and flipping this spike till my hand felt bruised from the horrible catches while I was focused on the phone blinding flipping over and over to recreate this movie scene stuck in my head. Something about the process of it all, a bit more cathartic to create than to generate . Anyways thank you all for being here over the years through my ebbs and flows of content, from my incredibly niche ideas that no one may get, to the unedited straight clips; I appreciate you all making me feel welcomed in sharing what keeps me going in the shop. Thank you.

I still have not played the game, and until making this video I hadn’t even heard of it. It’s like a running streaming jumping game right? The kind that would play in the background of a video while telling some unrelated story to keep the viewer engaged.. šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø the music sure is catchy

Should I play this game? I had never heard of it before making this video and I have now gotten this comment several times. The music sure is catchy. www.me...

Turning a railroad spike into a meat flipper; an extended look. Did you guys know there is actually a left and right handed version of this tool? When I first heard that it sounded about as strange as left handed scissors to me, but again, I’m a metal guy, and a right handed one at that. I live to learn another day. Always learning and growing both physically and mentally in this forged and fabricated life. That being said if anyone has any other pointers or tips, I’m all ears. Thanks for watching, supporting, criticizing, and everything else under the sun. I appreciate it all.

Here’s a fresh design. Torch bent 5/8ā€ round bar contorted into one of a kind barn door handles. And yes I had to make an entirely new fixture to be able to get a mirrored counterpart to the first handle. Thank you to anyone who has ordered a pair of these over the years. And if anyone is interested check out www.menardmetalcraft.etsy.com . Thanks for the support! Oh and thanks also to Uniweld Products, Inc. for their continued support in my endeavors!

This vise has seen a lot, I’m sure. I pulled it out of the scrap bin at a local fork lift repair shop after they deemed it unworthy of life. It’s been a few years since and it’s hanging on, but I will admit she is now lying in my own scrap pile and I’ve finally made the upgrade to a post vise. As this repair shown here lasted about 5 minutes under the work load I subject my vise to, a post vise was the only way forward. … and that post vise is posted in another video of mine a few posts back.
