Local elections matter, and your voice matters. 🇺🇸

The Greater Redding Chamber of Commerce invites our community to join us for two upcoming Candidate Forums, both free and open to the public.

📍 Shasta County Supervisor District 5 Candidate Forum
Monday, September 14
5:30–6:30 PM
Gaia Hotel

📍 Redding City Council Candidate Forum
Wednesday, September 16
5:30–7:00 PM
Cascade Theatre

These forums are an opportunity to hear directly from candidates, learn more about the issues facing our community, and gather the information you need before casting your vote.

Can’t attend in person? Both forums will be recorded and shared on the Redding Chamber YouTube page within one week of each event.

Following the forums and our election review process, the Chamber will also publish an Election Guide during the first week of October with information about the races evaluated and key local and statewide ballot measures.

Do your research. Ask questions. Hear from the candidates. Make an informed decision.

Most of all, vote.

August was a busy month for us doing some much needed theatre repairs and maintenance. Caring for this historic, almost 100-year-old theatre is no easy feat. After some fresh coats of paint, new lights, and a new roof — we can’t wait to welcome you all back to the Cascade!

Check our website for all the shows coming this fall and to purchase tickets. Only tickets purchased through cascadetheatre.org or our Box Office are guaranteed valid.

When the Naify family built the Cascade Theatre in 1935, they hired architect J. Lloyd Conrich for the design. In 1969, Conrich painted this piece called "Animato" and later gifted it to his friend Agnes Young of San Francisco. When Young's great grandson discovered the painting, he sent it to us. A marriage of art and history.

Now that the painting is home at the Cascade, where should we display it?
