We’ve heard your questions - and we’re ready to answer them!

Join us for special post-show Q&As following our final two Sunday matinees of Mother Courage and Her Children on April 26 and May 3. Stick around after the performance to hear directly from the cast, crew, and director (Emma Richardson).

This production explores Epic Theatre, pioneered by Bertolt Brecht. Rather than inviting the audience to lose themselves in the story, it challenges them to remain aware - using theatrical devices to interrupt illusion and provoke critical thought, urging us to examine the world not as escapism, but as it truly is.

Brecht’s enduring masterpiece of survival and silence has only grown in relevance since its 1941 premiere. This version, translated by David Hare, was first staged by the National Theatre in 1995.

Venue: Old City Hall (1313 Market Street, Redding, CA) Ballroom (2nd Floor) 📍

Hear from the director herself, , on what to expect when seeing the Brecht’s play “Mother Courage and All Her Children”.

Against the backdrop of the Thirty Years’ War, one mother navigates chaos, loss, and survival — doing whatever it takes to keep moving forward, even as the cost grows higher.

The playwright, Bertolt Brecht, was a German playwright known for his style of epic theatre, which often challenges the audience to think critically about social and political issues rather than just getting emotionally swept up in the story.

Come see this funny and ultimately human play.
