The mission of Redding City Ballet is to present classical, contemporary and innovative concert dance to a broad audience and to increase accessibility to the arts for the schools of the North State area through educational outreach programs, lectures and performances. Redding City Ballet (RCB) was found in 1993 and began touring l

ocal schools offering
lecture demonstrations and educational opportunities/training in classical dance and
performance. In 1997 it presented its first full length Nutcracker production with a sixty-five member cast that included community members and children along aside local professionals. In 2002 the company was granted 501(c)3 status and firmly established itself as the first resident ballet company of Shasta County and the City of Redding. To date,
RCB continues to present the Nutcracker annually in Redding as well as touring to the
neighboring community of Weaverville. Casting for the Nutcracker for these past twenty-two years has continued to draw dancers from across the county resulting in continuing casts of over 40+ established artists and dancer trainees.

We're excited to welcome Shannon Grant, RAD Certified Instructor and freelance professional dancer from New York City, as a guest faculty member alongside the talented instructors of RCB. Dancers will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, challenge themselves, and take their training to the next level in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Whether you're looking to refine your technique, improve your artistry, or simply immerse yourself in a week of dance, this intensive is for you!

What a beautiful way to close out our 2025–2026 dance season! 🩰💛

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Redding City Ballet’s End-of-Year Showcase. This was more than a performance… it was a celebration of hard work, growth, creativity, and joy.

From our youngest dancers to our advanced students and adult dancers, we are so proud of all that was accomplished this year. Thank you to our families, friends, faculty, volunteers, and audience members for supporting the arts and encouraging our dancers every step of the way.

✨ What a Year It Has Been ✨

As we prepare for our End-of-Year Showcase this weekend, we can’t help but reflect on all that our dancers have accomplished throughout the 2025–2026 season.

From first pliés to new skills mastered, from classroom moments to performances on stage, we have watched our dancers grow in confidence, artistry, discipline, and joy.

We are so proud of every student—from our littlest dancers, through every level of our School of Dance, and our adult dancers, too! 💛

This Saturday, we have the opportunity to celebrate all of that hard work together, and we can’t wait to share it with our community.

Join us for our annual End-of-Year Showcase as we celebrate the dedication, growth, and artistry of our dancers!

This special performance features students of all ages and levels—from the littlest dancers, through every level of our School of Dance, and adult beginner dancers—sharing what they’ve worked on throughout the year.

Audience members will enjoy a beautiful variety of styles including classical ballet, contemporary ballet, jazz, tap, and special student-choreographed works.

If you’re planning ahead for the summer, you’re invited to join us for summer classes for all ages and levels, running June 8–August 10 at Redding City Ballet.

We’re also offering our Summer Ballet Intensive on July 13–17 for intermediate and advanced dancers ready for focused training. Audition for level placement: June 9 | 6–7 PM.

And don’t miss our Jazz & Tap Week on July 27–31 for even more summer fun!
