Technically this is a Wild Wednesday, but I want to give you a quick update on Chester and he definitely falls into the domestic class, but with a big heart.

He's doing fantastic and all of his numbers are back to where they should be!

So grateful for all of your support!

In case you missed this or are not following this page (if you like horses I would highly suggest it) ... I am so grateful to Equine Photographers Network for sharing this image of Nicols and being a part of the great human herd that helps broaden the audience to the wild horse story!

Today's featured image from the top rated images from Daily Horse Shots is by Deb Lee Carson of debleecarson.com
"This image is of wild stallion, Nicols, titled Wild Turbulence. He lives wild in Theodore Roosevelt National Park in Medora, ND. This was captured with a Nikon Z9, Nikkor VR200-500mm 5/6 lens at 310mm, 5.6, 1/2000, ISO 400.
This was recently accepted into an upcoming exhibition at the Praxis Gallery in Minneapolis titled “Animal Life”.
There’s nothing more satisfying as a photographer than an epic atmosphere that levitates the subject matter to a new height, especially when it is a wild horse that I am trying to advocate for with my lens. What better way to tell their story than creating a work of art that the world can enjoy? "

It has been a tough year for our beloved wilds in Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Loosing both Georgia's Boy and Half Moon in a short span of time, is a blow the herd.

Thank you Tiffany for your hours spent searching for answers and finding his remains. Grateful for you and North Dakota Badlands Horse for your selfless ongoing dedication to this herd!

Good Morning from the Watchers!

What is your muse? I am grateful for the watchers who provide 15 minutes of enchantment, starting right about now! I can hear them calling from the studio!

Make it a great day!

Good Evening Wild Ones,

So grateful for each of you who sent words of love, support, and prayers for Chester today.

Dr. Mary believes he has an infection and was actually able to obtain some samples of what she was seeing in the video resting respiratory endoscopy she did on Chester today. We also discovered a melanoma on his tailhead, which grays are susceptible to.

We have started him on antibiotics while we wait for the results of the tests and blood draws.

He was a very good patient and is now back out with his 1/2 sister Flicka, who also got a manicure, along with Ms. Pinnacles who we x-rayed and trimmed today also.

His good friend, Jackie, was on pins and needles today, as she patiently waited for my update!

We are not out of the woods, but I cannot tell you how grateful I am to the amazing caregiving team Weitz Equine Veterinary Services and William M. O'Connell and Breighly Wehling, Pinnacles farriers, that show up and work as a team for our horses!

Good Morning Wild Ones!

Today is going to be a challenging day, but I am highly optimistic that it will be alright for Chester.

He has health issues, aging, and his current symptoms require a vet visit that I have been forewarned, could require 'hard' decisions.

So if you don't mind...sending prayers his way, he and I will both thank you. Blaring now in his support, are Tommee Profitt and Aubree Archibeck singing "How Great Thou Art".

(This is his dear friend, Jackie, sharing a moment, after Jackie and David said their vows here last October.)

Good Morning!

This is what happens when you leave your husband in charge and take a trip to the wild...you get a text with this view! Still can't believe Pinnacles let Michael put his "Outlaw Inn" hat on her!

How many hats are you going to wear today?

Here's my list:
Gardener
Lawn Care Technician
Lumberjack
Animal Caretaker
Wild Bird Feeder
Errand Girl
Designer
Printer

That's today. How many do you think I will actually be able to wear? I can say all of them but one. Guess which one! Heheeee...

Now you? How many?

Regardless of your list...let's do this and have fun!!! Hugs to each of you and have an amazing day!
