Morning Wild Ones!

Prepping for the forthcoming opportunity to represent Wild Lands Wild Horses Series & Fund at America's 250th birthday celebration in Theodore Roosevelt National Park, on 7/2 and 7/3 is taking all of my concentration and I apologize for the absence.

This opportunity to stand in Ms. Pinnacles homeland and share her ancestral story and how amazing our wild ones are, their contribution to society, the benefits of wild horses on our public lands, along with their contribution to all wild species, I take seriously.

In addition to hear first hand our public representatives from the BLM Wild Horse & B***o Program and U.S. Forest Service and Theodore Roosevelt National Park talk about managing to our public lands is a rare opportunity to have all three of those public programs in one place. Along with their four legged ambassadors.

Our honorary ambassadors are Ms. Pinnacles, Denali, and Valor. Valor was adopted by Jamie of This Mustang Life, Denali was adopted by Full Moon Rising Wild Horses but now lives with her forever partner, Chelsea in New Jersey. Chelsea sits on our WLWH board, and of course Ms. P who wasn't supposed to be a part of our lives, but God had other plans.

Although they cannot be there in real life, they will be on display in our booth.

If you brave the chaos of that wild weekend, this event is being held in Theodore Roosevelt National Park at Peaceful Valley Ranch! The dates are 7/2 and 7/3.

That same weekend is the grand opening of the T.R. Presidential Library. You will be living in history in the making!

I am so excited to share the story of this herd while standing in their homeland!

Whoop! S.1377 landed in the House of Representatives yesterday, 6/15/2026, at 10:32 am!

If you're just tuning in to this page, that is an act introduced by Senator John Hoeven to provide permanent protection for that beloved herd of wild horses in Theodore Roosevelt National Park!

Now let's get it to the president!

Good Morning Wild Ones!

I do profusely apologize for the lack of, well the lack of posts with just more than a picture and a few words and no rhyme or reason.

Life is well, life is complicated right now, and that darn peony may be telling me something I don't want to hear or accept.

In the meanwhile...enjoy this pic of Arey (2019) wild bachelor from one of our Wild Lands Wild Horses Series & Fund Theodore Roosevelt National Park documentary shoots back in 2024. Jamie and I found him at the end of a very, long day just south of the Lower Talkington trail, as the sun slipped into the night.

If you missed last nights post, the Australian Brumbies are going to be barbarically slaughtered in their wild homes, from helicopters, with sharp shooters, beginning next week. Left to lie and rot where they are shot.

In 2023, 6000 Brumbies were despicably slaughtered like this.

How in today's world can this make any sense? How can any human do that? This isn't a humanity that has evolved and learned from history, this is a humanity that is repeating history. Humans, we are the most predatory animal on the planet.

An animal that built the world, is a part of their heritage, no human could have done what they have done without that sentient animal, but because a 'narrative' has been perpetrated by government, these incredible animals loose their lives.

I am grateful our barbarism here in the U.S.A. doesn't include that type of wild horse management. Since the passing of the 1971 Free Roaming Wild Horse and B***o Act, we have tried to make a difference for our wild ones. Their numbers have grown from almost extinction. Unfortunately we have a long way to go to find sustainable solutions for all lives who call our public lands home.

History...history is why we are here today. That history was undeniably built by a horse! Your history, my history, the world's history and this young stallion Arey! His history was here LONG before humans!

Arey, thank you for your gift!

Good Night from the Wild Ones!

Keep the Australian Brumbies in your prayers. Next week the government mercilessly begins aerial killing them and leaving them to rot where they lie.

In 2023 more than 6000 Brumbies were killed in this barbaric way.

A practice that belies belief at this juncture of humanity.

I wrote this on May 7th to honor America's wild horses!

Those wild ones on the range and the 18,000 plus needing homes off the range.

With America's 250th birthday arriving quickly...without the horse it would never have happened!

You will get sick of me preaching about how important the horse was to humanity, and honestly still is!

Good Morning from the Watchers! Now a family!

They hang around while I do chores, and me watching the watchers has been a great gift. The 'adults' make sure to 'teach' the fledglings all the skills they need to survive!

Have an awesome day in your part of the world! You might see me back here later!

Good Night...from that place made from groaning stones, the wilds of TRNP. One of my favorite images of now deceased wild stallion, Guardian. The magical layers of the badlands at dusk, does it get any better?
