October 4, 2025 at the Roman Theater for the Montana Cowgirl Showdown, located in Red Lodge, MT

The daughter of a Montana Music Hall of Famer Rob Quist, Halladay Quist was born with music in her blood. She began her musical journey at the age of six, on stage and on the road with her renowned musical father, developing her distinctive voice and unique musical talents in multiple instruments. As a solo artist, Halladay has appeared with highly accomplished and award-winning artists like Jewel, Korb Lund, Colter Wall, Tim Montana, The Travelin’ McCourys, Michael Martin Murphey, Collin Raye and many more.

Winning Best of Flathead last year, Halladay took her love of music to new heights as she produced the first annual Montana’s Got Talent. www.MontanasGotTalent.com The winner of Montana’s Got Talent won $5,000, a new demo and an opening spot for a national act at Abayance Bay in Rexford, MT. Her mission: to elevate artists from all across Montana and to raise money for an online center for music education and artist development for all ages called Starlight Academy to debut later this year. www.StarlightAcademy.org
Throughout her musical career Halladay has always had a hand in music education, touring schools in Montana and teaching songwriting and performance workshops. In 2020, she even taught K-8th music education at Deer Park Elementary and later at Fair Mont Egan.

LET'S GO GIRLS!
The 2nd Annual Montana Cowgirl Showdown in Red Lodge, Montana!

This event will take place, Saturday, October 4th at the Roman Theater the longest continuous theater venue in Montana, and Sunday, October 5th at the Carbon County Museum. This will be a gathering of Cowgirl Talent featuring county music, poetry, dance, and cowgirl fashion! The event will be a fundraiser to benefit the Carbon County Historical Society and Museum. This year we have an exciting twist, the winner of the music competition, will walk away as a finalist for Montana’s Got Talent!! https://montanasgottalent.com/

This museum was founded by the first woman to be inducted into the Rodeo Hall of Fame, Alice Greenough, and we are honored to follow in her footsteps to showcase the talents and gifts of other amazing cowgirls!

Please note the number of participants and performers is limited. Please contact us early to secure your place in the lineup. The winners from each category will participate in the Evening Showdown and will receive recognition and cash awards! With the winner of the music competition moving on as a finalist for Montana’s Got Talent, the stakes are high this year! I can't believe TOMORROW is the Montana Cowgirl Showdown!!!! Saturday , October 4th, 2025 @ 1:00 pm at the Roman Theater!!!

We have an incredible line up of Cowgirls for y'all to enjoy this year and amazing special guests: Norrine "The Outlaw Queen" Linderman and Halladay & Rob Quist performing on the big stage at the Roman Theater!!

This incredible all women and girls fundraising talent competition, was created with the idea of encouraging women to use their voice and be proud of their talents! And we are so honored to be a part of this! I never met Alice Greenough, our founder, but I think she'd get a kick out of the Montana Cowgirl Showdown!

There will be Country Music & Cowgirl Poets, Dancers & Line Dancing Lessons, Western Wear & Distinguished Judges, Amazing Prizes & at the end of the day one of our Country Music Winners will be a Finalist on Montana's Got Talent!!!!
