Deep black with a tan head, this German-style Schwarzbier brings the roasted character of a porter or stout in a lighter, crisper form. Notes of black coffee, baker’s chocolate, and toasted bread lead into a clean, balanced finish. A substantial portion of the beer’s bitterness comes from the roasted malts, complemented by kettle hops, while a lighter body keeps the profile bright and refreshing.
