So we started looking somewhere else.

We found this.

An old journal.

Most of it is impossible to read.

But one page isn't.

September 26.

Six women went into the woods.

None of them came back.

And according to whoever wrote this...

they never left.

That date keeps bothering us.

Apparently, that didn't matter.

One of us took this picture on the way out of the woods.

Nobody noticed anything at the time.

We didn't see it until we looked through the pictures later.

Look behind the trees.

We weren't alone.

And now we're wondering...

Was she watching us the entire time?

This wasn't here before.

Someone knows we've been looking.

The message was pretty clear.

“YOU FOUND THEM.
NOW THEY KNOW WHERE TO FIND YOU.”

We're done looking.

We went back.

Probably our first mistake.

We found the same symbol from the photograph carved into one of the trees.

Actually...

we found six.

Five of them look like they've been there for years.

The sixth one doesn't.

It looks new.

Very new.

And we KNOW it wasn't there before.

There's something else about this picture.

This was buried near the edge of the woods.

The photograph is old.

There are six women in it.

We don't know who they are.

But someone went through a lot of trouble to make sure their faces couldn't be seen.

There was something written on the back:

“They should have stayed buried.”

We're starting to think we shouldn't have touched anything.
