We've had some excitement last night. I took my medicine then called Merroir over for her bedtime probiotic treats. She's never shown any interest in my medicine though sounds are similar to her treats rattling. I shook out treats in my hand and took a closer look just as Merroir scarfed up one vitamin D3 capsule, 250 mcg, and a treat. I was too slow to either grab it out of my hand or even just dump my hand.

Side effects of D3 poisoning look to be similar to a cat taking a long afternoon nap unless she is vomiting. Longterm, kidney damage.

Unfortunately, whether the capsule stuck to my dampish hand, or it was last night's dose scooped up when I knocked over the treats, it comes right at the worst financial crunch. I've been vacillating who I want her vet to be (Janet Jones) and who I can afford (Humane PA).

Now that office hours have begun I hope to find an affordable arrangement. She's my fluffy buddy!

Anyone willing to have a little Christmas in June and July - My ornaments are available. In fact I have some painted cat ornaments in mind!

Spent the hot days planted in front of my fan folding 75 stars and 25 Christmas trees from half strips of 1cm paper. My index fingers are still throbbing and I can predict new callus formation! Merroir oversaw production. I keep a stash of 1/8" paper strips nearby to distract her from gnawing ends of good paper. If portions of a USB cable are visible she will become a bitey immovable object. Fortunately she is uninterested in the stars themselves!
