How cool is this? Willow Dental, 85 Woburn Street will host Almost There. They had koozies made with their logo and ours. We found the perfect beer for them. If you stop by on Saturday, June 27th you can probably get one of your own (beer not included)

Tonight's snippet is a happy blending of Talent, friendship, and hospitality. We are avid fans of the North Reading Community Coffeehouse which Art Grossman organizes at the Flint Memorial Library. Art is a Friend of the Flint and donations are always given to the library. Art is ably assisted by John Loretz, Sound engineer extroadinaire and Ric Page, in so many roles. The cool thing is that Art, John, and Ric all have enormous musical talent as well. At Reading PorchFest, we always try to find a venue where they and their fellow musicians can perform in the coffeehouse format. This year, Jonathan Sachs, in his capacity as member of the Quannapowitt Players Inc.., will host Art and friends and will join the line-up in his role as Uncle Jon. The historic Quannapowitt Playhouse is located at 55 Hopkins Street.
Here's a sample of the considerable talent that will be on display at QP on Saturday, June 27th from noon til 6.
By the way, you can see two sculptures by the multi-talented Jonathan Sachs at the Reading Depot. Pics here, but you really should check them out in person.

We are so grateful to all the Reading Churches who host PorchFest acts. Did you know that the First Baptist Church produces LawnFest at PorchFest? On Saturday, June 27h, look for the enormous tents set up on the lawn at 45 Woburn St. You can't miss them. Under those tents are full stages where an all day lineup of music is presented. A huge thank you to FBC and, especially, to Chris Moller for all the work required to put on LawnFest at PorchFest. While the performers may change from year to year, the quality is always there. Here are snippets of RCTV coverage over the last couple of years.

If you've ever walked or driven down High Street and admired the gorgeous green victorian house with turret and rounded front porch be sure to add 129 High Street to your map pins on Saturday, June 27th. The new owner, Anthony, is looking forward to meeting neighbors and new friends and hearing the stories that people are willing to share about his new home. Anthony will be hosting two acts, at 12:30 - 2:30 Monkeys, and at 3:00, John Ferullo will return to Reading PorchFest. Don't forget to Congratulate John on his new album release. A little preview to end your weekend on a musical note.
