Alumni shoutout for our Marlee Harper! Marlee is attending Texas Christian’s University and majoring in dance for her BFA! She also received a scholarship of over $40,000!!!!! We have had the honor of teaching her since she was 8 years old! To watch such a magnificent dancer blossom under your tutelage and to have a front row seat to her furthering her career is something all dance teachers dream of. Marlee has been LOYAL to ATTD, studying each summer at prestigious intensives, and always coming home to her studio. Here is what she has to say to her fans:
“I’ve been dancing since i was 5 years old and I’ve been with ATTD since i was 8 years old. My favorite role I’ve performed would either be the lead in Carol of the Bells or the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker. To my team, I’ve been dancing with most of these girls since i was 8 thank you so much for making every rehearsal, long day, and performance so very memorable and so much fun. I will forever cherish every memory i have made with this team and group of girls. and for Mrs. Becka Jo, thank you for every ounce of encouragement, advice, and positive words you have instilled in us and in me, thank you for everything you’ve done for me as a person and as a dancer. To my mama, thank you for everything you’ve done for me to help me in every way possible and for always doing everything you can to help me in anyway possible with encouraging words hugs on long days and rides to anywhere i need to be thank you for everything!
We are so proud of our girl, and can’t wait to see what her future holds! We love you Marlee Raye!
