2: Show Weekend!
The weekend of March 6-8 saw, technically, three different cast combinations take the stage at Rayne High and put on fantastic performances of Don Zolidis' "How to Get Away with a Murder Mystery".
Let's take a look back at some of the funniest kiddos you've ever seen.

On March 6, the cast of "How to Get Away with a Murder Mystery" traveled to LSUE and competed at District Drama Rally. While the result isn't exactly what we hoped for, the group qualified to perform at State Drama Rally on April 18.

Shailynn S. is Narrator 2 (US)

Stepping in as our Narrator 2 understudy, Shailynn, a freshman, is a star among stars. She brings a calm confidence and brilliant presence to her cast and role!

Patrick S. is Agent Orange (US)

Patrick is appearing for the first time on Rayne High’s stage as the understudy of Agent Orange! This also marks Patrick’s acting debut overall!

Brad S. is Mr. Burgundy (US)

Mildly coerced by an older sibling, but a fantastic addition, Brad, a 9th grader, is finding a new way to express his artistic side as the understudy of Mr. Burgundy, a not-so-mysterious gentleman with a fantastic mustache! Before his acting debut, Brad had partaken in art classes.

Lila M. is Vick Tim

Lila, a freshman, is busy on and off the stage! For this play, she plays a victim named Vick Tim (short for Vicki)! And while this is her first year with RHS, Lila definitely is no novice to being on stage, having been 2024 Junior Miss Crowley, a member of the 2026 Krewe de Jeunesse of Louisiana, and a part of the court, and splitting her time as a Rayne High cheerleader as well.

Camille L. is Lady Indigo (US)

Camille, a freshman, is making her way to Rayne High’s stage for the first time as Lady Indigo’s understudy! While she hasn’t graced the stage here before, in a Baton Rouge production of Wicked, Camille found a lot of love of the stage, and she is excited to continue growing on stage.
