Willacy County Art League

Willacy County Art League Cultural Art Center of Fine Arts and Handcrafted Gifts Willacy County Art League was established in 1947. Our league has had an impact on the community-at-large.

At that time, the focus was on art exhibits for artists in the Willacy County area. Today, we are the only chartered fine arts organization in Willacy County. Through the years, we have awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships that have enabled talented local students to pursue their dream of studying art at the college level. We provide an ongoing exposure to the arts for people of all ages v

ia workshops, exhibits and regular gallery hours every Tuesday. We can do this because of the generosity of our patrons. Volunteers are available to teach a variety of art lessons every Tuesday from 9:00 to 12:00. If you would like to join us, you are most welcome, no experience necessary. The gallery is open for visitors from 9:00am until 12:00pm on Tuesdays as well. Come on in and browse!

"FALLING FOR BOO" is our August Lush Brush! We are so ready for fall!
Please make plans to join us August 27, 2026 at 6pm-9pm at the Willacy County Art Center. Snacks and drinks are available but feel free to bring your favorites. $35 a person. All supplies are included and you are going home with a painting ready to display! Our very own Mary Ann Kiefer is your instructor.
