It takes a lot of work behind the scenes to get ready for a big golf tournament!

Today, our Golf, Parks, and Recreation crews came together to load up, move equipment, and help get Rochelle Ranch Golf Course ready for tournament weekend.

This is what being a team is all about. It doesn’t matter which facility you normally work at or what your everyday job is, when one area needs help, we show up for each other and get the job done.

I’m proud to see our employees working side-by-side and taking pride in not only their own facilities, but our entire Parks & Recreation Department.

✨✨Rawlins Recreation Making Changes Online and at the Recreation Center

Rawlins Recreation is making some changes — both online and inside the Recreation Center — aimed at making it easier for residents to enjoy Recreation services and the Rec Center itself!

One of the biggest changes is happening online. Through “DASH by DaySmart”, available at www.rawlinswy.gov/dash or on the mobile app, residents can now:
• Register for recreation classes, programs and leagues
• See upcoming classes, activities and events
• Check availability and reserve park pavilions and the Depot
• Manage registrations and reservations online

Residents can now use DASH to reserve the locations the City regularly rents for gatherings and events — park pavilions and the Depot Building. You can view availability and reserve the whole Depot, individual Depot rooms or park pavilions online at any time.

At the same time, staff are also turning their attention to the Recreation Center itself. The Recreation Center will be closed from Saturday, August 29 through Monday, September 7 while staff complete a refresh of the facility. The closure will allow several projects to be completed at once, with the Center reopening after the work is finished. We’ll save the full reveal for reopening — watch for a look around the refreshed Recreation Center and what’s changed.

🏈 YOUTH FOOTBALL IS UNDERWAY! 🏈

The helmets are on, the kids are on the field, and another season of 3rd–6th Grade Youth Football has officially kicked off!

It’s great seeing our young athletes back outside learning the game, working hard, building confidence, and most importantly, having fun. 💪🏈

A big thank you to our coaches, volunteers, parents, and families who give their time and support to make youth sports possible in our community.

We’re looking forward to a great season and watching these kids grow both on and off the field!
