Hikers Liane & Clinton from Australia were given a ride to McCarty Canyon Campground by Jim & Chance.

One of the Australians left their phone in the car and are trying to get it back!

Our Paint the Rawlins’ Blazes event that was to take place tomorrow, has been canceled due to weather.

We appreciate your patience, and ask that you like and follow our page to keep up with events and efforts we will be doing in the future!

We will also be trying to do this event again in the spring 2024, we will post more details on this later! ☺️

The Carbon County Visitors' Council is conducting a survey to learn more about the experiences CDT Hikers have while in the Carbon County, Wyoming section of the CDT (Encampment to Rawlins/Rawlins to Encampment).
We are conducting this survey to help us determine how best to improve/maintain our section of the trail in all manners.

This is inspiring news for the Continental Divide Trail Coalition, Gateway Communities, CDT Ambassadors, and CDT Committees! We are beyond excited to see this act's future and the CDT's future for decades to come!

Today is a day for the entire CDT trail community to celebrate! 🎉 Senator Martin Heinrich (New Mexico) and Senator Steve Daines (Montana) have introduced the bipartisan Continental Divide Trail Completion Act today, which aims to complete the entirety of the 3,100 mile trail by the trail’s 50th anniversary in 2028.

“As the Continental Divide Trail Coalition enters its second decade of stewardship of the CDT, we could not be more grateful for the leadership of members of Congress in recognizing this important piece of the CDT Experience.
