We hope to see you for this month's Actors Lab on THIS Sunday (June 21st) at 10am!

This month we're building character and story through physicality. Turn your brain off and get moving as we experiment with how our bodies can tell a story and influence the emotional state of both actors and audience.

AUDITIONS ARE THIS WEEKEND FOR EXCITING NEW WORK!

*Due to the development process needed to produce a World Premiere play, auditions for The Four Horsemen are earlier than usual.

The Four Horsemen
By L.D. Potter
Director: Heidi Dehn
Assistant Director: Jonasia Nance

CASTING:
Looking for a diverse cast of performers of all genders ages 16 and up. Unless specifically stated otherwise, roles are open to qualified actors of all races, colors, ethnicities, gender identities, ages and abilities. The director and production team are deeply committed to inclusion throughout the audition and rehearsal process.

AUDITIONS:
Saturday, June 20th 6-8pm
Sunday, June 21st 1-3pm
Performing Arts Center of Rapid City. Use South Street Entrance.
Choose a day to audition and sign up for a slot below. If interested and unable to attend any audition time or callbacks, please contact [email protected] by Friday, June 12 to make alternative arrangements.

PREPARATION:
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Actors should review and prepare (memorization not required) the scene of their choice from those provided. After an initial reading of that scene, actors may be asked to read additional scenes and roles.

CALLBACKS:
If needed, callbacks will be held Monday, June 22 at 6:30pm, Performing Arts Center of Rapid City. Those who are needed to attend callbacks, will receive an email after the second night of auditions. Callbacks will consist of additional readings from the script.

Important Dates:
Script Development readings June, July, August
Regular Rehearsals (Sun-Thurs, 6:30-9pm) begin September 14th
We realize this is a longer time commitment than a typical rehearsal. Additional auditions will be held in September if any actor is unable to continue through the entire process.

Performance Dates:
October 30, 31, November 6, 7, 13, 14 at 7:00pm
November 1, 8, 15 at 2:00pm

Parking & Location Specific Info.

o Outdoors at Dahl Arts Center: Find parking downtown and then find us outside of the Dahl on the Quincy Street side of the building.

o Raider Park: Located directly across from the Stevens High School main entrance on Raider Road. Plenty of parking by the tennis courts, then a brief downhill walk to the amphitheatre space. Blankets and low chairs are ideal for the tiered seating area. There is a drop off point on Raider Rd for those needing a more accessible route to the playing space.

o Indoors at the Historic Theater at the Performing Arts Center: Just like any performance in the Historic Theater, use the parking on Columbus Street and enter the main doors. No need to bring blankets and chairs. The schedule is the same as the other performances and all pre-show camp activities will happen indoors.
