We are a vibrant, non-profit art studio and gallery, where artists of all abilities create, exhibit, and sell their work. The artists receive proceeds from the sales of their work and contributing to the cultural and economic life of our community.

🚨GIANT CANVAS SALE ALERT🚨

We interrupt our unexpected silence on social media* to present you with Colleen holding a canvas almost as tall as her while also alerting those frequent donors out there that ask us “what do the artists need?” of a great deal! To answer that question, we need canvases - BIG ONES specifically! 🖼️

A supporter of SCAC informed us today that Michael’s is currently having their buy 1 get 2 free canvas sale until ✨tomorrow✨ at close! That means for the price of one, nice quality, gallery wrapped, large scale canvas we can get THREE! 🤯

If you’ve been waiting for an opportunity to get more bang for your buck when donating supplies, this is it! 🙌🏼

We are grateful for any size of canvas, but the 48x48 and bigger galley wrapped canvases are some of our most needed sizes. We also love a strangely proportioned or shaped canvas! 🩷

As always, we are appreciative of any and all donations as well your frequent and thorough support! We so deeply appreciate our supporters! 😊

See what we did there? Against all odds the creative juices are still flowing 😎

Now to the important part -
✨✨✨TONIGHT✨✨✨✨ is our open house! And it is happening in *checks watch* 45 MINUTES!!!

Doors will open right at 4 and we will be ready for you! 🙌🏼

🌟 HUNDREDS of original works from local artists will be available for purchase - including this lovely mermaid by SCAC Artist of the Year Jonna Montgomery
🌟 Tattoo artists from and Bad Cat Tattoo will be READY to get y’all some incredible flash tattoos - remember, the generous tattoo artists will be donating 50% of your tattoo proceeds back to the art center! Make sure to tip and thank your artist!
🌟 Some lovely refreshments sponsored in part by will be ready to be enjoyed
🌟 Jett is going to be doing his thing at .natural to ensure there is a delightful dessert available for purchase at your leisure
🌟 Volunteers Isaac and Emberly will be holding down the temporary tattoo table down for those who are not of age and/or not interested in a real tattoo at this time
🌟 Gifts with purchase will be flying out the door with whatever treasures you find this evening
🌟 Master of the turntable will be ensuring we’re all feeling the vibes throughout the evening
🌟 The Tech First Council will be sharing how technology is helping people with disabilities live more independent, connected, and self-directed lives
🌟 And you will be surrounded by this community that shows us time and time again the importance of and love for the magic of ORIGINAL, UNIQUE, LOCAL art work 🙌🏼

This piece along with the lilies and an additional water lotus (all of which are quite large!) will be for sale ✨TONIGHT✨ at our open house! 🙌🏼

If you’ve been around recently, you’ve probably seen this one on display at the front desk and let us tell you - it has garnered some SERIOUS interest! We can’t wait to see which lucky person gets to make it theirs tonight! 🤗

As stated in a recent post, Racheal has been putting in a whole lot of work for the open house tomorrow - we hope you’re able to stop by and check it all out! 🙌🏼

SCAC artist Kim Flowers so fittingly has a thing for flowers, but roses are a favorite 🌹

When looking at reference photos, Kim saw this old school portrait of a woman with the most beautiful rose and said “That’s it! That’s the one I’m doing!” 🎨🖌️

Originally, there were talks about possibly painting this piece in acrylic but decided that her tried and true caran d’ache neocolors were the medium to go with - proof once again that Kim is an artist that knows what she’s doing 😎

Devon has three (maybe four!) large scale flower pieces that will be on display this Thursday for our open house - he has been working very hard on them! 🖼️

All have garnered quite a bit of interest and are sure to go quickly as they are nothing short of spectacular! ✨

We aren’t LION - this Thursday is going to be a ROARING good time 🦁

Suzie Cappa Art Center artist Racheal Raduenz will have this piece for sale alongside a variety of others, all of which are incredible! 🙌🏼

It’s…A DRAGON BY SCAC ARTIST JEFF MCGLADE! 🐉

Jeff has some really wonderful pieces that will be on display later this week for our open house - this dragon is just one of them! 🙌🏼

Those who know Jeff will instantly recognize his “stroke, stroke, stroke” style inspired by the work of Vincent van Gogh, Jeff’s favorite artist 🎨 🖌️

This piece will be available alongside hundreds of others this Thursday from 4 pm to 8 pm! 🎉

While perusing art in our gallery you can also enjoy music from a live DJ, light refreshments, and meeting many of the Suzie Cappa Art Center artists throughout the evening! 😊
