Since 1971 there has been LIVE Children's Theatre at the Storybook Island p

ark. It is the largest children's theatre in the region and performs rain or shine, five days a week, June - August. 2012 marks the 40th Anniversary of live theatre in the park (the theatre did not perform in 1972 due to the flood). Over the years the theatre has been produced by several different entities including: the City of Rapid City, Black Hills Community Theatre and The Black Hills Playhouse.
