Art House in Hot Springs is having an artist reception for there opening show Land/Body, May 23, 5-7. I have two works that will be displayed there. I will be attending the reception with my mom and sister-in-law. I have three more seats in my car if anyone would like to drive down with us. We leave at 3:46 Saturday, meeting at my house. Intro to Watercolor Starts April 30th!
I’ve been hard at work developing a six-week watercolor course designed to give you a strong, well-rounded foundation in the medium.
This class focuses on the process of watercolor — how pigments move, layer, and interact — rather than chasing a perfect final piece.
By the end of six weeks, you’ll confidently understand:
• Color interaction
• Foundational techniques
• Value & composition
• Layering & glazing
• Texture & atmospheric effects
Class Options:
• Thursdays 12–2 PM
Length: 6 weeks
Cost: $240
In-studio supplies available.
Basic drawing skills required.

Created an early morning sketch from a photo I took in Nebraska! Love the warm sun feeling. This technique is made by adding white watercolor to my yellow for an atmospheric/misty layer in the distance. It’s not done yet. Going to turn it into a larger painting.
