MadHouse Snails’ beginning
I decided to let my oldest child get a fish tank for his birthday one year. I took him to pick out a betta fish and 1 tank mate which he picked an ivory mystery snail. A while later for getting good grades in school I let him get another mystery snail and a few tetras to add to his tank. After he got his first clutch of eggs he wanted to watch them hatch so I made an incubator. Every day he checked those eggs and showed them off to whoever would listen to him. After they hatched and we watched them grow I got hooked and decided to help find the best foods and supplements to help the snails thrive. After a lot of research and looking around I realized that making my own food and supplements would be a better option.
I decided to share the joy and silliness of the snails with more people. Since then I was asked if I would sell my snail food and supplements so I took the time to figure out the best way to make the snail food shelf stable without using preservatives.
