The Randolph Strings Parents Association (RSPA) will be selling refreshments during the upcoming RMS Winter Concert on Monday, December 18 being held at the RHS Auditorium. STRINGFEST: TONIGHT - CANCELLED
Hey all,
So sorry for the last minute communication. In the last 4 hours, the weather has shifted up. Over one inch per hour of snow is expected starting at 8pm....
After talking to Administrators and consulting the latest weather report, we have decided to postpone Stringfest to tomorrow evening. As of now, the heavy snowfall would be arriving as we were dismissing from the concert.
We will consult first thing tomorrow morning and let you know what the gameplan is. As of now, if we have a delay, the concert will be on. If school is cancelled, the superintendent will have to ascertain whether afternoon/evening events are still happening.
Sorry for all of the confusion, but we have to have your child's safety as the priority and make sure we have a safe event for all to enjoy. I apologize for the short notice, but at one point the weather reports had the storm starting almost after the concert would have ended and it would have been fine to get our concert in, but unfortunately, we did not have the luck of the Irish on our side today and must postpone the concert due to safety concerns. I will be in contact with you for a future date/time and the weather precludes us from school tomorrow for any possible make-up concert.

Dear Orchestra Parents and Music Lovers Alike:
We are counting down the days until Stringfest!
Our orchestras throughout the district have been working hard with our amazing orchestra directors to prepare for this exciting night to celebrate Randolph’s Strings Program.
We are very excited to welcome and feature our guest artist Elaine Christy-harpist.
We hope that you and your families will join us on Monday, February 27th at 7:00 pm (snow date: Tuesday, February 28th).

Please consider supporting our orchestra program through business ads and/or personal ads for your child/children or giving them a “Shout Out” in the program with a few lines of support. These various ads and boosters will be included in the Stringfest Program for everyone to see! Of course, the kids love to read their shout outs, see their pictures and ads in the program. While the ads and booster are available to everyone and are always a hit, it’s particularly touching to see the ads and shout outs included for the graduating seniors, the majority of whom have been in orchestra since the fourth grade!
For Family Ads and Shout Outs, please access our square site at this LINK for rates and to pay for your Family Ads and Shout Outs.
For any businesses who would love to be advertised in the wonderful program and help support, please E-mail [email protected] and we will E-mail you the information with with rates and instructions for ad submission and payment. Please pass this opportunity to all business you may know (can be from anywhere).

Kindly submit all boosters and ads no later than January 31st so we have time to incorporate them into the program. For Business and Family Ads, please email high resolution pdf or jpg to RSPA at [email protected]. Shout Outs messages may be submitted directly through our square account. Please use our square site to make all payments.
Please note that all Pre-Sales for Stringfest will be through our Square site. Tickets are $15.00 ($5 for seniors over 62 and $5 for students) in advance and a limited amount of tickets will be available at the door the night of the performance for $15.00 ($5 for seniors over 62 and $5 for students).
Wooden Roses (coming soon) and/or a Candy-Gram for your children and/or teachers are available for purchase before the concert via the Square site, along with a Snack Sale the night of the concert.

Congratulations!

Elizabeth Morgievich (11th grader) was accepted into All-Eastern Orchestra. For those who don't know, All Eastern Orchestra is formed with selections through an application/video performance audition process of string players across the Eastern U.S. They only choose around 48 or so violins, and N.J. might only have 1 or 2 selected. It is extremely difficult to get into, especially for violins where the competition is fierce! Elizabeth is a Junior who was in All-State orchestra over the past several years and now made All-Eastern.

Elizabeth had also made New Jersey All-State Orchestra last spring and just performed with the All-State along with Leah Kvares about a week or so ago, who also made it into All-State Orchestra.

Leah Kvares and Joanna Peters were accepted to audition for a solo competiton for the Sussex Symphony in NJ. They were accepted to audition in the application process, so now they will be auditioning live for the possibility of becoming a soloist for the concert. It also includes a $500 prize.

Randolph also has about seven string students auditioning for Sr. Regions in January. The kids who make that ensemble, can then try out for ALL-State Orchestra if they are a Junior, Sophomore, or Freshman.

Way to go Randolph students!
