~Contestant Parking Lot ~
We are incredibly disappointed by something we found while cleaning up after the rodeo.
While volunteers were picking up trash around the arena grounds, a used needle and syringe was discovered in the field. Let that sink in for a moment.
This is a facility built for families, youth events, and kids. The very people helping clean up were children and young people volunteering their time.
If you choose to shoot up yourself or your horse, that’s on you. And don’t start about lasix, etc. I am well aware…that’s not the point. Whether the syringe was used for a horse, livestock, or personal use, it is unacceptable to leave it on the ground. If you bring it in, take it out. A used needle is not just litter—it is a serious safety hazard that could permanently change someone’s life if they are accidentally stuck.
We work hard to provide a safe environment for our community, and we ask everyone who uses our facility to show the same respect. Please dispose of needles and other medical waste properly. At your house. Our kids should be making memories at the arena, not worrying about finding dangerous items in the grass.
Help us keep MB Arena a place where families, volunteers, and children can safely enjoy the western lifestyle we all love. Thank you. ❤️🤠
