Registration closes this weekend so we can order materials and prepare for a fantastic summer of creating, experimenting, and making new friends.

We still have spots available in three of our most exciting camps:

🌈More Than Just Art Projects🌈
Our camps are about much more than the finished creations students bring home.

When children spend a week immersed in hands-on artmaking, they build resilience as they work through challenges, strengthen their attention spans, develop fine motor skills, and learn to problem-solve independently. They practice collaborating with peers, sharing ideas, and taking creative risks in a supportive environment.

Most importantly, camp provides something that’s increasingly rare: uninterrupted time away from screens. Kids spend their days making, experimenting, imagining, and connecting with other young artists—the kind of analog summer experiences that childhood was made for!

🌈Who Can Attend?🌈

These 3 featured camps are designed for rising 3rd graders and up. However, if your rising 2nd grader is an experienced crafter with strong fine motor skills and the attention span to participate in longer projects, they are welcome to join us. 😉

I just received Ms. Alder’s plans/supply list for Intro to Sewing & Fiber Arts Camp and let me tell you, it. is. going to be. AWESOME! 🤯 😎 🤩 From -

Who knew recycled toilet paper rolls could be so totally engrossing? We all wished we had more than an hour to transform them into fairy houses. After just scratching the surface on their potential, we split into two groups and each half of the class made a little hidden village outside for the other group to find.
P came dressed for the occasion with a mushroom shirt and headband 🥹

Help us shape our future programming!
🧵We have had a request for a parent + child sewing camp August 10-14 that we would like to run if there is interest from other folks too.

Who’s in for making cool projects with a kid in your life - where you don’t have to plan or prep the materials or run the show? And you maybe even learn a new skill yourself!?

👉But wait - we need your help to set the schedule!!
Please weigh in on what sounds best to you:

🌈A single full-day workshop (9-4)
🌈A one-week camp for 1-2 hours a day
🌈3 half days (ie Mon - Weds 9-12)
Or something else?

This would likely be for kids ages ~6-12 and their adult.

Voting is not a commitment to camp, just helps us learn what would work best in general for this type of program.

Was having so much fun in art class yesterday that I barely got any pics. We made watercolor wands of butterflies and flowers. And, for anyone like me whose basil - that we planted last week - is already on its last legs, these also serve as garden stakes - little colorful plants that won’t die as easily 🥴

There’s only one week left of this spring class, but if you’d like to request another or one for your own group, please reach out!

So far in our Wednesday after-school class we’ve…

🍃 Painted terra cotta pots
🍃 Planted basil seedlings in them
🍃 Sketched plants outside
🍃 Made a collection of leaf rubbings

Thankful for beautiful warm weather and all the green things coming to life! Except poison ivy. We also had a rundown on how to spot and avoid it like the plague it is 🙅‍♀️

(On that note - Thankful to one of the camp moms for sharing her side passion of identifying poison ivy on her account . Super helpful for training yourself on spotting it!)

A recent Adult Night in the Creative Camps studio with - flowers, epoxy, and a really lovely group of people. I loved how Chelsea dove into the science behind what resin/epoxy is and tips on how to succeed with it.

Bonus footage - when I went to pick up the finished products I got to see Chelsea’s cool epoxy studio - swipe for the tour!

If you’d like to book your own workshop for your work team, friend group, or to celebrate Mother’s Day (May 10 ⏰), shoot a DM. We offer private parties for groups of 6-8. You don’t have to be an artist - this is low-pressure creativity at its best.

I had such a wonderful time the past two mornings painting with my sister and niece during their visit to Raleigh. While I worked on commissioned house watercolors, they each spent a few hours on their own “Trace n Paint” kit. Though they used the same template, their pieces turned out so unique!

I did not know this was going to happen when I told my niece to help herself to any art supplies she found in the studio. And it was a delight to see my little kits being used in the very way they were intended - something relaxing and joyful to make while connecting with others.

This “Tropical Trace n Paint Kit” + others are on the Shop page of my website and the camp website. Thank you, and .on.pointe for the visit, the catch-up sesh, and for participating in an impromptu ad 🤣
