This is an important reminder that the deadline to apply for a vendor space at the 2026 Uwharrie Bigfoot Festival is Saturday, August 22, at midnight.

After midnight, all vendor applications will officially close, and we will not be able to accept any additional applications.

If you have started an application but have not completed it, please make sure it is submitted before the deadline. If you know another business, artist, crafter, food truck, beverage vendor, author, researcher, or exhibitor interested in participating, please share this reminder with them.

🧜‍♀️✨ A ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME MERMAID EXPERIENCE IS COMING TO THE UWHARRIE BIGFOOT FESTIVAL! ✨🧜‍♀️

We are beyond excited to announce that internationally recognized professional mermaids Shannon Dawn Green and Cassie Parsons are bringing the magical underwater world of mermaids to Camp Barnhardt this Labor Day weekend!

These incredibly talented aquatic performers are members of the world-famous Circus Siren Pod—the professional water-performance company featured in the hit Netflix docuseries MerPeople! Circus Siren Pod has made an unforgettable splash around the world, entertaining audiences from the beaches of Hawaii and the aquariums of New York to the beautiful resorts of Jamaica.

🌊 MEET MERMAID SHANNON DAWN GREEN

Mermaid Shannon is an internationally renowned aquatic performer, educational entertainer, author, illustrator and mermaid instructor with nearly 13 years of professional experience.

She performs in breathtaking, realistic, movie-grade silicone mermaid tails and has spent five years as a senior member of the elite Circus Siren Pod performance team. Her work has taken her to fairs, festivals and special events throughout the United States.

Shannon has received extensive media coverage and holds professional safety and aquatic-performance certifications. She has also written and illustrated several books to accompany her interactive educational shows and inspire aspiring mermaids of all ages.

She has founded mermaid schools at aquatic centers and has taught children and adults how to safely swim in a mermaid tail. Shannon’s television and film work includes her appearance with Circus Siren Pod in Netflix’s MerPeople, along with other film and television projects.

🍭🧜‍♀️ MEET MERMAID CASSIE—THE ORIGINAL SUGAR HIGH SIREN!

Mermaid Cassie is a professional mermaid, dancer and enchanting aquatic entertainer based in the Carolinas.

Born into a renowned traveling dance company, Cassie began performing at an early age and traveled around the world while developing her craft. Her lifelong love of movement eventually evolved into a stunning combination of dance and water performance.

In 2016, Cassie began incorporating a magnificent mermaid tail into her performances, blending graceful movement on land with captivating underwater artistry. In 2022, she joined the world-famous Circus Siren Pod and became part of the magical professional mermaid world featured in Netflix’s MerPeople.

Cassie is also a PADI-certified freediver and is certified in CPR, First Aid and AED safety. Known as the Original Sugar High Siren, she brings fantasy to life through her charm, creativity, dance background and mesmerizing aquatic performances.

Families will have the extraordinary opportunity to watch real professional mermaids swim, perform and bring an entire underwater fantasy world to life! We are planning three magical mermaid performances each day, complete with beautiful tails, underwater artistry and unforgettable moments for guests of all ages.

🦶 Friday: 2:00–9:00 PM
