Lynn Bernstein Studio

Directions

Lynn Bernstein Studio I am an independent artist, primarily working in pastels. Hi. Welcome to Lynn Bernstein Studio! I love pastels because the quality of the medium is unique.

There is (almost) nothing in it except pigment; this allows light to bounce around in the painting. No other medium has this quality. I rarely blend the colors, just layer them. I do sometimes miss the challenge of mixing colors (just to see if I can get it the perfect color), but there are many more challenges to be tackled in art. Primarily keeping your enthusiasm and getting past the procrastination phase. One of my favorite quotes is from Winston Churchill. "Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm."
