To the ends of the earth for Love 🌍..
I've been a little MIA lately, on my own mission trip. I'm coming off this trip with the conviction that missions is not what we do, it's who we are.

Every conversation you have in every city that you're in, every act of service, and every task you perform with love is part of your mission.

The little things, and how we live our lives every day truly is what changes the world.

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" - Acts 1:8

We LOVE the end of that verse. To the ends of the earth. It's all over any mission related content, amiright? But what about the first part of it?

Dream & go to the ends of the earth to show Jesus to people who have never heard of him, it's what we were called to do. But realize that we have a commission to fulfill right where we are. In schools, universities, work places, communities, and right at home. Not being able to travel to the ends of the earth at the very moment that you are in doesn't DQ you from participating in what God's doing on the earth. Sometimes the most powerful messages are told through our faithfulness to our communities at home. I would say that our faithfulness often does speak the loudest messages.

Maybe you're like me and will only have been on an official "mission trip" this year. Maybe you'll go next year, or in 5 years. Maybe you're not called to the places that look glamorous in terms of missions. But know this, missions starts at home. It doesn't stay there, but it always starts there.

So, I pray that as you go to the ends of the earth, that people would come to know Jesus because of your witness there. But even more so, I pray that people would come to know Jesus because of how you live in your day to day right at home.

"In Western Montana, a stone's throw from the western entrance to Glacier National Park, is the tiny... town of Hungry Horse. The poverty rate is over 50%, and many families struggle with unemployment and addiction. I will be going on my third trip to Hungry Horse with Peachtree Corners Baptist Church to partner with Canyon Baptist Church, whose congregation is often mostly kids. We will be putting on a VBS for the kids of Hungry Horse for a week of fun! I will be in charge of worship this year, teaching all the kids songs about God's love for them. I'm so excited to love on these kids who desperately need it." - ..
