After a decade with Carolina Ballet, we celebrate Lauren Wolfram as she takes her final bow, retiring as Belle in Beauty and the Beast.

From her early training at Ballet Academy East in New York City to joining Carolina Ballet in 2016, Lauren’s journey reflects years of dedication and artistry. Promoted to the Corps in 2017 and advancing to Soloist in 2020, she has brought to life an incredible range of soloist and principal roles in works by Zalman Raffael, Robert Weiss, George Balanchine, and Lynne Taylor-Corbett.

As she steps into an exciting new chapter at Campbell Law School next year, we wish her all the success ahead and thank her for the last 10 years of contributions to Carolina Ballet.

Attend Beauty and the Beast from May 14th - 17th. Tickets available by using or calling 919-719-0900.

After more than two decades on the stage, Richard Krusch will be taking his final bow on May 17th in our final show of the season.

Since joining Carolina Ballet in 2002, Richard has captivated audiences with his refined technique, commanding presence, and deep dedication to his craft. Promoted to Principal Dancer in 2011, he became a leading voice in the company’s repertoire, bringing nuance and power to every role he performed.

Originally from Budapest, Hungary, Richard trained at the Hungarian Dance Academy before continuing his studies at UNCSA and the School of American Ballet. His distinguished career has included performances with American Ballet Theatre and the Hungarian National Ballet, along with international tours across Europe. Richie has originated and danced countless principal roles over his 25 year career.

Join us to see his final performance on stage in “Beauty and the Beast” on Sunday, May 17. Following the show, we invite you to Birdie’s Barroom & Kitchen as we celebrate his incredible legacy.
