You may have already spotted her around the shop, camera in hand, and we wanted to officially introduce her. 🖤

Nikki is joining us behind the scenes to help give Mad Ethel’s a little makeover — from revamping our website and improving our social media presence to making the booking process easier, clearer, and more user-friendly for YOU.

Turns out, you don’t have to stay committed to the tattoo you got in Myrtle Beach when you were 18.

This client came to ready to cover an old tattoo they had outgrown and replace it with something more meaningful.

Paul transformed it into this full-color shoulder piece, using an illustrative style to build a vivid landscape around a glowing sunrise, winding river, three crosses, and an open stone tomb. The piece blends realism, atmospheric landscape work, and religious imagery with bold color and dramatic composition.

We love a dragon and floral fantasy moment. 🐉🌹

This piece by Ember wraps across the shoulder with a black and grey dragon perched over a bold red rose, surrounded by loose ornamental linework that carries the design beyond the wings and down the back.

The rose gives the whole piece a strong focal point, while the softer shading through the dragon, wings, leaves, and smaller details keeps everything feeling balanced and layered.

This wolf piece by Ember combines detailed black & grey work with smoky, watercolor-inspired shading, geometric and runic elements, moon phases, and just a touch of color in the red moon and icy blue eye.

Free parking is available in designated areas along W Lane St, N Boylan Ave, and the marked lot near the shop. Paid parking is also available along Glenwood Ave.

Please check the map before parking, since some areas behind the building are no-parking zones.
